We’ve visited all but a handful of states over the years. (Oma is at 44, and Opa is at 46. The missing states are east coast and Alaska.) Rather than start with almost every state colored, we thought it would be more fun to start from scratch and cover travels since our joint retirement.
The state colors represent how much time (and exploring) we have spent in each state. The lightest color represents just passing through, the next darker shade indicates less than ten days, and so on. We’ll never see everything (even in our home state), but the darkest blue means that we’ve spent a lot of time someplace. We don’t count time at home.
